The presence of a router on the network

By definition, the route or routing is a route (path) or a method for finding the road / path from origin to destination in a network like the Internet along with information that could be passed. Router refers to a system that can continue (forwarding) of data packets in computer networks. Router can be interpreted as a device used for connecting between networks with or through routing.

The main task of routers is examine data packets to the destination address, and detailed format of the protocol then determines if the path can be traversed. Each router has a table that contains addresses that can be passed / destination address of each device connected to the network. If the router finds that the results search match in the table address (the address table) then the router will forward the data packet to the destination address. If the destination address is on the type of network that requires a different transmission protocols, data protocols are required to be added to the packet data.

The presence of a router on the network is very important because the router act shows the direction that must be passed by the data packet on its way to the destination address. Because even though we already have a destination address but dont know where the road should pass, it's useless as well right?
Viewed from the physical, there are 2 kinds of routers:
Dedicated Router: A router that is made specifically by the factory and shaped like a special device. Example: (Level one: WRT), Cisco & Linksys
PC Router: The router is made from a regular PC (not a special device made by the factory) and filled the operating system used for the router. Example: a regular PC with Mikrotik OS / Linux

In addition, there are 3 categories of routers based on how it works. Namely:
Router static: fixed routing table
Default Router: Sending packets to a network that does not exist in the routing table to the next router. This occurs if the router only has one port
Dynamic Router: This router has the ability to change the routing when used (not static). Usually using certain protocols such as RIP, OSPF &
