EasyPosManager application designed

EasyPosManager application designed to be used by multiple users, which means it can be used by several users at once in the same time. To be able to use multi-user facility, the application must run on the LAN by using several settings that are provided through EasyPosManager. Network setting does not apply to computers that do not use the network (stand alone).

To use EasyPosManager in the network must have available infrastructure supporting the LAN. The procedure for making and troubleshooting networks are not discussed in this module and handled solely by the user.

a. Network settings for the Adaptive Server Anywhere * Define a computer that will be used as a server and note the IP address that is on the computer that will be the server.
* On the client computer that will be open on the database settings local settings menu and enter the IP address server.


b. Network settings for MS SQL Server * Define one computer to the server
* Give the IP Address for that server computer eg 192.168.0.1
* Install MS SQL server database
(Installing the database server is not covered in this module. Users may consult with technical staff each).
* Record password SA (System Administrator) by default Username SA is given a password and it should be noted when a user fills the SA password.
* Disetting EasyPosManager enter the option database program SQL Server
* Fill in the IP address of the server eg 192.168.0.1
* When prompted for a password enter the SA password that has been noted above or left blank if the SA is given a password.


In the first setting, EasyPosManager will automatically create a new database and tables needed EasyPosManager in order to run well. The data may already exist in the Adaptive Server Anywhere is not automatically written to the MS SQL server. To transfer data users can use the facilities of the transporter that has been provided by the program and then restore to a new database in MS SQL.
