Mail Service (SMTP) in Security
Communication by e-mail as possible when it is one of the most widely used application on the Internet. There are several protocols that can be used to transfer e-mail service, but the most commonly used is Simplemail-transfer-protocol (SMTP).
SMTP capable of handling the ASCII codes as text messages to be delivered into the mailbox (mail-boxes) in the host TCP / IP which has been determined to serve the e-mail.
SMTP mechanism, whereby users who want to send e-mail to interact with the local mail system via component-user agent (UA) on the mail-system. E-mail to be sent first temporarily stored in the outgoing-mail-box, then the SMTP sender process the e-mail collected on the outgoing-mail-box periodically. If the sender's SMTP e-mail found on outging-mail-box, it will directly create a TCP connection with the destination host to send e-mail. SMTP Receiver in the process as a goal that should receive a TCP connection, then e-mail sent on this connection. On receiving this SMTP e-mail stored in the destination host on each mail-box in accordance with the destination address. If the mail-box with a name that does not match the name of the mail-boxes exist on the destination host, then the email sent back that shows there is no mail-box.
